Barry and Cronkhite
Hiking up slopes of the Marin Headlands with 15 lbs of camera gear, I recall the days I was drafted into the military.
On beautiful rugged trails and remote locations, my comrades and I spend a mind-numbing amount of time training, route marching to nowhere in particular, waiting for a conflict that would never come.
"Waiting to rush, and rushing to wait", we'd say.
These images, made on a 4x5 film camera, and processed by hand, are an homage to those moments in my past life.
